Buyer's Guide

Where to buy running shoes in Singapore: 12 stores worth the trip (2026)

Specialty shops, brand flagships, Decathlon and Queensway: mapped by price tier, gait-analysis services, and what each store is actually good for.

The right Singapore running store depends on what you need: a free treadmill gait check, a carbon-plated racer in your width, or a S$60 first pair that does not require a finance degree. Orchard has the mono-brand flagships. Queensway has the discount hunt. Kallang has Decathlon's Singapore Lab. None of them is "best" in the abstract: each wins for a different runner and budget.

This is a directory guide, not a scored review. Prices are indicative SGD as of June 2026; confirm live stock and promos before you travel. For which shoe to buy once you are in-store, see our KIPRUN Singapore guide and how to choose running shoes.

Specialty multi-brand stores

Running Lab: Marina Square, Velocity @ Novena, Takashimaya Sports Central, Bugis Junction, IMM. The straightforward performance specialist: ASICS, Brooks, HOKA, New Balance, On, Saucony and more at full-price positioning. Free treadmill gait analysis at Novena Square and Marina Square only (roughly 5–10 minutes of analysis plus fitting time). If you want evidence-aligned fitting without paying for a stability lecture, start here: our shoe-choice guide still says comfort beats pronation prescription.

iRun: 313@Somerset flagship, Queensway #01-04, Peninsula Shopping Centre. One of the broadest brand walls in Singapore: Nike, adidas, ASICS, New Balance, On, Puma, Saucony, HOKA, Altra. The Queensway unit skews discount-friendly versus Orchard. Third-party guides report treadmill testing and 3D foot scan at the Somerset flagship: confirm in-store before you rely on it.

Key Power Sports: Paragon, Velocity, Parkway Parade, Kallang Wave Mall, Changi City Point. Running, triathlon and recovery under one roof (HOKA, Brooks, 2XU, Altra). Community try-runs and brand nights at Kallang Wave are useful if you want to test shoes on a short jog before you buy. No published free gait lab: fit advice is conversational.

Red Dot Running Company: 108 Sims Avenue, Geylang. Niche endurance specialist: HOKA, Xero, Vivobarefoot, trail and ultra accessories. Not where you go for a Pegasus or Novablast, where you go when MacRitchie is your training ground.

Island Run Club: Great World and i12 Katong. Newer multi-brand performance shop (roughly 2024) with On, HOKA, New Balance and Altra. Useful if you live east or central and want specialist curation without Orchard parking.

Brand mono-stores (2024–2026 openings matter)

HOKA Brand Store: ION Orchard (May 2024). Full HOKA range plus SafeSize 3D foot scan for fit recommendations. Clifton, Bondi, Mach, Speedgoat: all under one roof.

On Flagship: Jewel Changi Airport (July 2025). First Southeast Asia On flagship (~9,300 sq ft). Home base for On Run Club Singapore group runs and clinics. If you are an On loyalist, this beats hunting limited stockist colourways.

ASICS Singapore: gait hub at Suntec City. Video gait analysis and optional 3D foot mapping (~15 minutes). Costs a S$20 voucher redeemable on purchase: essentially paid unless you were buying anyway. Plaza Singapura, Bugis Junction, NEX and other malls carry standard ASICS retail.

Nike Orchard Road: 268 Orchard Rd; 28,000 sq ft, largest Nike mono-brand in Asia outside China. Pegasus, Vomero, Structure, Vaporfly, Alphafly. Nike By You customisation on the third floor.

adidas Brand Centre: 270 Orchard Rd (#HOMEGROUNDSG). Full Performance range including Adizero Evo SL (~S$209) and Adios Pro 4 (~S$339). MakerLab customisation on-site.

New Balance: nine Singapore stores including Paragon, ION, Jewel, IMM outlet. Fresh Foam, FuelCell, 1080, Made in UK premium lines.

Budget and value: Decathlon + Queensway

Decathlon Singapore Lab (Kallang): 230 Stadium Boulevard. Experience Store with full range plus KIPRUN wear-test zones. Fifteen outlets islandwide; six Experience Stores stock the deep range. For S$59.90–199.90 KIPRUN performance shoes, this is the anchor: see our full KIPRUN guide.

Queensway Shopping Centre: the "sports mall" at 1 Queensway. Start at iRun #01-04 for a true running specialist; Athletes' Domain, Sports 'n' More, Fuze and N-Zone for general discount footwear. Caveat: verify model year and authenticity; the discount is real, the grey-market risk is too.

The most evidence-backed way to choose a running shoe is to pick the pair that feels best on your foot during your normal running, not the pair a treadmill video prescribes for pronation. The Catalyst Feed shoe-choice guide

Use gait analysis as fit triage, not gospel. If two neutral shoes both fit and one feels better on a short jog, that is your shoe.

What opened (and closed) recently

Opened: On Jewel (July 2025), HOKA ION (May 2024), Island Run Club (~2024), Running Lab Bugis Junction. Shrinking: Royal Sporting House reported down to six stores with further closures per business press: verify before visiting. Not a Singapore shop: "SBR Sport" confuses search results; no operating SBR running retailer exists here.

Price bands at a glance

  • Budget (S$50–150): Decathlon KIPRUN Kipcore–Kipride Max; Queensway discount hunt.
  • Mid daily trainers (S$174–259): Brooks Ghost, ASICS Novablast/Nimbus, Nike Pegasus at specialty stores.
  • Plated / super shoes (S$269–379): Vaporfly, Metaspeed, Adios Pro at Running Lab, iRun, brand stores.

Under roughly 12 visits per month, ActiveSG pay-per-entry (S$2.50) may beat any membership on this list, but it will not sell you a marathon shoe.

FAQ

Where to get fitted for running shoes in Singapore?

Specialty running stores offer gait checks and trial jogs. Our store guide lists current fit-first retailers islandwide.

Should I buy running shoes online?

Fine if you know your model and size. First pairs or brand switches deserve an in-store try with running socks.

How often should I replace running shoes?

Most daily trainers last roughly 500 to 800 km depending on form and surface. Rotate pairs to extend life in humid Singapore.

Do stores allow returns after running?

Policies vary. Some allow short indoor trials only. Ask before buying and keep tags until a treadmill test passes.

Super shoes in Singapore stores?

Major brands stock plated racers at flagship running shops. Try half size up if your foot swells on long runs.
