Singapore On Foot badges: the Healthy 365 step ladder explained

HPB's Singapore On Foot badges run from 1 April 2026 to 31 December 2027. Ten cumulative step targets, earned at your own pace inside Healthy 365, separate from daily National Steps Challenge Healthpoints.

Singapore On Foot badges are Healthy 365's longer game: ten digital badges tied to cumulative step targets, earned at your own pace from 1 April 2026 to 31 December 2027. They sit beside the year-round National Steps Challenge, not instead of it.

The misconception to drop early: these badges are not another daily 5,000-step Healthpoints ladder. HPB's help article frames them as recognition for sustained walking over time. Inside the same app, Challenge Healthpoints still split by cadence: daily steps (and sleep), plus weekly MVPA.

What Singapore On Foot actually is

HPB says the badges recognise every step you take over time. They are meant to motivate you, help you track achievements, and encourage regular movement. All Healthy 365 users can earn them.

The earn window is fixed on the help page: 1 April 2026 to 31 December 2027, at your own pace. There are 10 digital badges, each with a progressively higher cumulative step target. HPB also notes you should keep a lookout for new digital badges along the way.

That "own pace" wording matters. Unlike a weekend race, there is no single race-day cliff. You accumulate steps across the window and earn the next named badge when you hit its target.

How this differs from National Steps Challenge rewards

The National Steps Challenge is year-round through Healthy 365. Eligible users have been auto-enrolled since about 18 September 2023 under HPB's terms, so most people do not need a separate signup.

Current Challenge rewards still centre on a daily step floor, daily sleep tiers where tracked, and weekly MVPA tiers (plus other lifestyle actions in the wider Rewards Programme). Our National Steps Challenge 2026 guide covers that Healthpoints structure in detail.

Singapore On Foot is a separate badge ladder with published cumulative step targets. At the time of writing, HPB's badge help page does not list Healthpoint values for each badge. If the app later shows a reward attached to earning a badge, treat the live app copy as the source of truth, not a blog guess.

Who can earn the badges

HPB's badge article says all Healthy 365 users can earn Singapore On Foot badges. That is broader language than some tracker-collection rules, which still have citizenship and age conditions.

If you are still sorting devices, pairing or sync, start with our HPB fitness tracker guide. Badges only help if steps actually land in Healthy 365.

A sane way to chase the ladder

You do not need a special "badge programme" workout. You need steps that sync.

  • Hit a daily floor you can keep. The Challenge still rewards 5,000 steps a day for Healthpoints. That habit also feeds cumulative badge progress.
  • Add intensity when you can. MVPA earns Challenge Healthpoints and is better aligned with Singapore's physical activity guidelines. A brisk walk still adds steps toward badges.
  • Sync regularly. Tracker data that never reaches Healthy 365 does not count for either system.
  • Ignore badge-name tourism. The names evoke playgrounds, Mandai, Sentosa and Marina Bay. They are labels for step thresholds, not a scavenger hunt of venues you must visit.

What not to do

Do not treat badge chasing as a reason to game the app. Inflating steps with phone shaking, shared accounts or other tricks undermines the public-health point and can breach programme rules. We cover the integrity side analytically in our Steps Challenge wins, failures and cheating problem piece. That article is deliberately not a how-to for cheating.

Also do not assume the top badge requires heroic daily mileage. 2.3 million steps across roughly 21 months is a long average, not a weekend sprint. Consistency beats panic walking.
